Pro Baseball with Randy Dunnett

Randy Dunnett is a professional in the world of baseball. He has dedicated his entire life to the game. From the time he was a small child and participated in games on various little league teams across his native city of Chicago, he has been on a mission to make baseball the central goal of his personal life and professional career.

Throughout a successful run as a primary school, junior high, high school and collegiate player, he was known for his incredible dedication and game time performance as a right handed pitcher as well as a power hitter. He went on to study and play for South Suburban College (SSC) for two years, where he played against many teams from throughout the area. Following this run at SSC, he attended and played baseball at Belmont University for the 1998 and 1999 seasons.

During this stretch he played against many of the best from around the state and beyond the state with many strikes to his credit. Following that dominant performance at the college level, in 1999 he signed with the Cook County Cheetahs (also known as the Windy City Thunderbolts). There he began his professional career in the game he loves so much. He spent two seasons on the roster Cook County and then retired in 2001.

At this time he found that he was a great coach and has had a tremendous run of elite coaching and training opportunities with some of the best athletes, teams and groups in the country. Dunnett made a brief professional comeback when he signed on with the Schaumburg Flyers for the final 20 games of the 2007 season.

Dunnett opened Finish Strong Indoor Sportsplex as the General Manager in 2005 and has since emerged as the co-owner of Force Elite Baseball. Over all these years, he has worked with thousands of athletes ranging from youth to professionals in attaining their performance skills in the game of baseball.

There he was known as a leader, as an exemplary student athlete and as a model citizen.

Randy Dunnett is a well-known baseball coach. He had an enviable career playing America’s favorite sports pastime at the professional level. Today, Dunnett has changed over to the role of coaching and working with youth as a positive influence and sports advisor. He has helped all kinds of players that have come through his tutorship, and he has also worked with entire teams to help improve their play.

Randy Dunnett is a former professional baseball player who now thrives as a successful professional baseball coach. Despite the fact that the majority of his professional playing career is behind him, he is still an avid ballplayer as well as a coach and instructor. Since 2006, he has played men’s baseball in the Chicago Men’s Senior Baseball League, and he has played in several national baseball tournaments in Las Vegas NV, Jupiter FL, and Phoenix AZ.

Randy Dunnett is a highly recognized professional baseball coach and trainer out of the great city of Chicago, Illinois.  His entire life has revolved around the sport of baseball. Naturally, he is a fan of the sport of the professional level and has been since he was a young child.  He was also once a professional baseball player that played for a number of years in the minor leagues.

He found his calling at the tail end of his original playing career when he started coaching and working with emerging talent.  With the knack to work with students becoming clear, he knew early on that this was his future.

He has gone on to be a great coach in every regard, with a seasoned knowledge of the sport that comes from a variety of angles and years of experience. That experience has enabled him to create spectacular training programs at his training facility, Finish Strong Indoor Sportsplex which he founded in 2004.

Training, studying, coaching, repeat – that’s the cycle that he applies each and every day with the people that he trains.  He drives the fire in each student with excellence in the foundation of his program, from the skills, the fundamentals and onward to the finer points of the game.

Each student is given the tools, environment and coaching they need to achieve the goals they are after. Randy Dunnett focuses on the importance of highly refined training in his programs, isolating the things that need improvement the most yet maintaining the integrity of what each student does well through hard work, repetition and fundamental skills.

Randy Dunnett is the co-owner of Force Elite Baseball Club, LLC out of Chicago, Illinois, where he helps young players and teams develop their skills.  It’s been a long and exciting road for Dunnett.  He is a former professional baseball player and how he got to own a sports complex in West Chicago is an interesting story. He started playing baseball as a youth from his first little league teams, it was clear that Dunnett was different.  He was driven and learned quickly.

He was a respected and feared pitcher during his youth, playing all the way on up to his high school days where many a hot spring day was spent on the practice field and on the sandy diamonds of baseball fields all around the Chicago metropolitan area.

Dunnett went on to play college ball for two years at South Suburban College (SSC), and later for two more years at Belmont University, where he earned a degree in Business Administration.  From his career as an amateur his first action was to take up a contract playing professional baseball for a minor league team.  He spent two years playing on that team in a very competitive run that saw the team face off with some of the best teams in the entire state and many teams from outside the state.

Dunnett was known for being a great hitter with great power, but mainly as a tremendous pitcher.  Standing at six feet tall and 175 lbs. he was not the most physically dominant player, but he was a dominant player that made every inch and pound count.

He was known for his accuracy, tremendous power and control of the game.  That’s what happens when you immerse yourself fully into such a goal and Dunnett had that special edge it takes to be a successful pitcher in the pro game.

He became a coach by circumstance when he took up an interest in coaching as a private instructor at Jack Perconte Sports Academy in Naperville, Illinois. Randy Dunnett taught there for four years before opening the Finish Strong Indoor Sportsplex in West Chicago in 2004. In 2011, he span off an effort has known as The Force Elite Baseball Club from Finish Strong.

There he coaches player and teams in the game of baseball with all the passion and drive that he had for his own career.  Over the years he has coached many prominent players across the spectrum in the game he loves so much.

Randy Dunnett got his first experience in coaching baseball with Jack Perconte Sports back in 2000.  At the time he was a player himself in between his two professional minor league baseball seasons. He served as a baseball instructor there for four years.
Then the Windy City Thunderbolts came calling, looking for a pitching coach. This was his old team and he couldn’t say no, so he took the chance and joined up. A year later Randy Dunnett founded the Finish Strong Indoor Sportsplex in suburban Chicago, and things have never been the same since then.
